Decision framework to select moisture reference years for hygrothermal simulations

چکیده

The dominant degradation agent in facades is exposure to moisture. Damages resulting from long-term moisture are typically evaluated through hygrothermal simulations. These simulations computationally expensive. Therefore, a Moisture Reference Year (MRY), i.e. one year representing the stress of climate, often used instead simulating damages with climate itself. Usually, methods select MRYs were developed for specific wall types and damages. Up now, no guideline exists these particular cases. we 21 existing MRY methods, decision framework on how appropriate data This paper presents comparison between using solid masonry walls Brussels. assemblies analysed without interior insulation 16 parameter variations each. Snap: A time critical decision-making framework for MOUT simulations

Deliberative reasoning based on the rational analysis of various alternatives often requires too much information and may be too slow in time critical situations. In these situations, humans rely mainly on their intuitions rather than some structured decision-making processes. An important and challenging problem in Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT) simulations is how to generate real...

Decision making framework for utsourcing activities in the banking system

The outsourcing of financial services has been growing during last decades.Inspite of expanding managers awareness about this subject, most of outsourcing projects have been lost due to qualifative decision critera and ignorance of environmental circumstances. The purpose of research is to design a model for making decision about outaourcing activities in banking system. From the point of purpos...

integrating decision making methods in gis environment to select sites for sport facilities

the aim of this study was to introduce a new idea in site selection of the sport facilities. at first, the studied domain was categorized into 6 incoherent scales by ahp method and based on 12 criteria including different urban land uses and elements. the lands with the maximum value and the area of 1502965.8 m2 comprised 6% of the whole domain. then, after teaming up on the research project, t...

Using Correlation-Based Measures to Select Classifiers for Decision Fusion

This paper explores classifier fusion problems where the task is selecting a subset of classifiers from a larger set with the goal to achieve optimal performance. To aid in the selection process we propose the use of several correlationbased diversity measures. We define measures that capture the correlation for n classifiers as opposed to pairs of classifiers only. We then suggest a sequence o...

A Decision-Theoretic Framework to Select Effective Observation Locations in Robotic Search and Rescue Scenarios

In some applications, like mapping and search and rescue, robots are autonomous when they are able to decide where to move next, according to the data collected so far. For this purpose, navigation strategies are used to drive the robots around environments. Most of the navigation strategies proposed in literature are based on the idea of evaluating a number of candidate locations according to ...
